Culinary to-do list: 2011 version

It’s entirely possible that I will update this list throughout the year, but I thought I would keep a list of the things I’d like to either re-learn how to make or learn, period. Some of these are things that my mom makes, and some of them are things that I’ve seen and want to figure out on my own.

  • Lasagna (cheese, no meat)
  • Shepherd’s pie
  • Hibachi-style fried rice
  • Stir fry
  • Scalloped potatoes with ham
  • Baja chicken enchilada soup
  • Some kind of beef stew
  • Seafood asparagus bisque
  • Asparagus risotto
  • Stuffed shells
  • Chicken enchiladas
  • Mexican rice

Very soon I’ll be swapping out my beloved grill for a Le Creuset dutch oven, which should come in handy for the next three months. I suspect I’ll miss my grill profoundly come mid April, but I guess I’ll just have to go to my parent’s more often.
